Benifits of enrolling with our Summer Camp

  • 8 hour camp days that correspond with your work week. 8 am - 4 pm. (Early drop off and late pick-up available)

  • Campers work with certified, full time professional rock climbing guides.

  • All technical rock climbing gear is provided. Each camper is supplied with a helmet, harness, specialty rock climbing shoes, climbers chalk, and a belay/ rappel device..

  • Quality of experience is built into each day and each activity.

Program Description

Day Camp

July 6 – August 19, 2011: Six Sessions.

Rock Gym Climbing Ages 6 – 10: 2 days indoor climbing, 1 day outdoors. Technique clinics & Games. ($312/session).

Outdoor Rock Climbing Level 1: Ages 11 - 17 One day indoor safety training, Four days outdoors various locations in Conn. ($410/Session)

Outdoor Rock Climbing Level 2 Ages 13 - 17 Five days climbing outdoors. Different locations than Level 1, more advanced. Must have completed Level 1 or indoor top rope safey lesson. ($410/Session)

Adult and Family Day Trips by appointment.

Over Night Camp

Ages 13– 17 Only.
Cost $675/session. Three different sessions offered. Six days five nights for each trip. $50 discount for multiple trip enrollment.

·        Rock Climb & Canoe - Clifton, Maine. Rock climb Clifton Crags and paddle lakes and rivers.Some Class 1 & 2 rapids.. Guided by
·        ·        registered Maine Guide Kevin West.Co-ed. 6 Participants. June 26 through July 1, 2011.

·        Rock Climb - White Mountains, NH. Rock climb Whitehorse and Cathederal Ledge, hike Mt. Washington.
·        ·        Co-ed.. 6 Participants. July 28 through August 2, 2011.

·        Rock Climb - Clifton Crags and Acadia National Park, Maine. No canoeing.
·        ·        Co-ed.. 6 Participants. August 21 through August 26, 2011.

Other Details

Early drop off (7 am), late pick up(5 pm) available for working parents, by appointment (Cost $15/hr).  Professional Certified Guides and Professional Medical Staff present at all times. Registration continues through the summer based on vacancies. Early registration discount ends May 1, 2011.

Payment of the full amount is required to reserve a time slot. Climbers must have a signed LiabilityWaiver and complete a medical form before their camper can participate. Please contact the Stone Age Rock Gym staff for further information concerning the Stone Age Rock Gym Camp. (860) 645 – 0015.
