Meet the Guides

The Stone Age Rock Gym guides are certified by the American Mountain Guides Association. We would be happy to teach you safe, industry standard practices for assembling top rope anchors, rappel anchors, technical gear placement (lead climbing), and hanging belay stations (lead climbing). Minimum age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult.

All lessons by appointment. All climbing gear is included.

Top Rope Course - Learn to safely assemble a multi-point top rope anchor and rappel station through this comprehensive 2-day course. Upon completeing this course you will have the knowledge to safely set up your own top rope anchor using natural protection at any cliff.

Cost $320 ea. maximum of 4 students

Lead Climbing Course - A Three-day course teaching the basics of gear placement, hanging belays, safety & self-rescue, and advanced rope management techniques.

Cost $395 ea. maximum of 2 students

OTHER COURSES

American Red Cross Basic Canoe Course - Learn the basic skill of paddling both solo and in tandem. Lake and stream technique help you become master your craft, not vise-versa. Includes all gear. By appointment.

Cost: $160 ea.

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR (First aid in the Workplace) & CPR for the Professional Rescuer - These courses reflects the new 2001 standards including Automatic Electronic Defibrillation (AED) training. 2 Day course.
